New in QuickLicense 5.0

QuickLicense 5 supports subscription periods starting from the activation date, a subscription grace period, delayed activation, quick validate for plugins and multi-threaded software, dual licenses, remote data, a pre-activation message and powerful programming commands.

Subscriptions from Activation Date with Grace Period

Monthly and annual subscriptions can begin on fixed calendar periods or based on the activation date. Subscriptions can be managed automatically through Safe Activation. Vendors can configure a grace period for manually entered Subscription Codes, time zone differences or temporary Internet disruptions.

Delayed Activation

Delayed activation allows a customer to purchase and start using a protected application for a specified time period before permanent activation is required. The vendor can withhold permanent Activation Codes until payment is assured or the refund period has expired.
Quick Validate

Software running in a complex environment including plugins, a multi-threaded system, DLLs and code libraries can call a simple, yet secure validation command. This command minimizes file and location dependencies and works on software with no user interface. The installer, a simple setup program or the main application can activate and manage the license in the normal manner to control all components in the complex environment.
Remote Data

Retrieve vendor-formatted data from the vendor's Safe Activation Service 2 account with a simple programming command.

Easily add real-time features to any application such as checking for new versions, the latest release date or current upgrade price with minimal programming effort.

Dual Licenses

Manage a dual license activation without additional programming. A product license can reference a trial license during the configuration process to eliminate the programming effort required for a typical Try/Buy/Product license.

Use a dual license to implement a student/teacher edition using the same installer with different Serial Numbers. The Try/Buy or Student/Teacher licenses are supported from either AddLicense or the programming interface.

Floating License Server

QuickLicense license configuration supports the QuickLicense Server product. A self contained, floating license server can be generated without programming to run on a customer network.

Since a floating license server requires no Internet communication, this is a good solution for secure environments as required by some corporations or defense companies. It is also an easy, secure solution for a large number of on-campus or off-campus students connected to a university network.

Pre-Activation Message

Present a license agreement or instructions to the user before the activation process begins. The application can customize the message at runtime based on characteristics of the installed software, operating system or computer.
Enhanced Programming Interface

Save development time with new commands and programming interface options that customize the user experience and enable new licensing features.
