MacA&D is the most widely used software modeling tool for Macintosh computers. Developers rely on MacA&D for system analysis, requirements management, software design, code generation and reengineering.
MacA&D comes in three product editions, from the low cost Standard edition to the full featured Developer edition. The Product Features Table shows the capabilities of each edition.
- MacA&D Standard
- The Standard edition is a software design tool for drawing process (DFD), data (ERD) and class models. These are the most popular models in structured analysis & design, information modeling and UML. It supports code generation, integrated code browsing, linked text specifications and data dictionary.
- MacA&D Desktop
- The Desktop edition adds state (diagrams and tables), structure and object (Sequence, Communication) models. Additional capabilities include standard and custom reports, scriptable features and inheritance graphs.
- MacA&D Developer
- The Developer edition adds to the capabilities of the Desktop edition:
- Task Models (System Architecture, Multi-Task Design and Deployment)
- Causal Loop Diagrams with Simulation and Dynamic Charts
- Requirements Management, Use Cases and Traceability
- Team Dictionary and Team Requirements (Shared Network Access)
Team documents allow multiple users concurrent access
to Dictionary and Requirement documents on a network. This feature is only
supported by a site license of MacA&D Developer.
- MacA&D Movies

- MacA&D Demo & Manuals
- The Demo edition allows the user to explore a wide range of models, methods and fully evaluate MacA&D. It has all features of the Developer edition with a limited Save command.
A dozen sample projects illustrate popular methods with step-by-step printed tutorials. The package includes the full printed manual set and PDF manuals on CD. With no timeouts, crippled features or missing documentation to contend with, you'll quickly see the power of MacA&D for your projects.
